BIOGRAPHY

An Interview with Sean Bodin, PA-C

Sean Bodin was born at the Naval Hospital in Agana, Guam. From elementary thru high school he lived in Colorado Springs, CO, where the majority of his family still resides. Upon graduating high school, he enlisted in the United States Navy and completed Basic Training in 2004 in Great Lakes, IL. He served as a Hospital Corpsman at Naval Hospital Camp Lejeune, Marine Aircraft Group 26, and Naval Health Clinic Quantico. He completed 2 tours in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom in 2008 and 2009. While on active duty he worked towards his undergraduate degree in Sports and Health Sciences from American Military University. He completed his enlistment in 2013 and worked as a phlebotomist in Fredericksburg, while applying to PA school.

Sean was accepted in the Physician Assistant program at James Madison University and graduated in 2017 with a Masters in Physician Assistant Studies. During his clinical rotations he realized how special working in primary care can be. Sean enjoyed getting to know the patients on a personal level and observing the entire disease process. Sean is especially interested in preventative medicine, gastroenterology, and sports medicine.

Sean lives in Fredericksburg with his wife Jennifer and his daughter Addison. His interests include golfing, reading Stephen King, and spending time with his family. His goal for the future is to become more involved with veterans in the community.
