BIOGRAPHY

An Interview with Ben Garrison, PA-C

Ben Garrison was born and raised in Columbus, Ohio. For his undergraduate studies, he attended Cedarville University in Ohio. At Cedarville, he began volunteering as an EMT. Although initially interested in becoming a physical therapist, his work as an EMT helped him realize that he was truly interested in a broader scope of medicine, as a physician assistant. He earned his B.S. degree in Allied Health, minoring in Psychology and Biblical Studies. After graduating from Cedarville in 2015, he then attended Ohio University and earned his Master of Physician Assistant Practice and graduated in 2017.

Ben is board certified and joined the CIMA team in September 2017. He is excited to use his skillset to help people with acute and chronic medical conditions. He chose primary care and internal medicine because he enjoys all aspects of medicine and lifelong learning. In particular, he is interested in orthopedics, behavioral medicine, and performing procedures.

Ben met his wife at Cedarville. After graduating from PA school, they decided to move back to Fredericksburg, which is closer to her family. Ben has a variety of interests including sports, travel, and outdoor activities.
